Welcome to the Meadfoot Bay set in one of Torquay's premier locations.

The Meadfoot Bay stands in its own secluded grounds literally a stone's throw away from Meadfoot Beach. Built circa 1850 the Meadfoot Bay was originally a gracious Gentleman's Private Residence. Now a family run guest house where you will always find a warm welcome as well as a relaxed atmosphere. Service here is attentative but never intrusive.

Ideally situated for the holiday maker who wishes to forget the car, as both Torquay town centre and harbour side are a short stroll away. Those who wish to enjoy Torquay's nightlife will discover theatres, pubs clubs and restaurants.

Business people will find a comfortable environment to relax in after the rigours and stresses of their day. However if business calls we have free wi-fi, (laptop compatible), capability running throughout the premises as well as a computer with broadband internet access for guests use. Fax facilities are also available on request.

The lounges are sumptuously furnished with furniture imported from Egypt and the silk draperies co ordinate beautifully. The 150 year old crafted Italian plasterwork is something to behold particularly when illuminated by the hand cut crystal chandeliers.

Other areas available to relax are one of four new terraced areas. Available to just to sit, relax and enjoy your favourite cocktail or a coffee from our speciality coffee menu. The licensed bar is open throughout the day and evening and there is a specially prepared wine list selected with the help of 'Coads' wine cellars.

Now Available are our Superior Rooms, Superior Deluxe Rooms and The St Andrews Suite.

The Superior Rooms have been decorated to the highest standard with the finest fittings. We have three available and their names are Pebble Beach, Carnoustie and Muirfield. All three rooms have all new interior designed contemporary furniture including new beds, sumptuous carpets and Egyptian silk curtains.

Also present in these luxury bath rooms are Gilchrist & Soames Spa therapy toiletries and a selection of towels ranging from small hand towels to large Turkish bath towels. In the room you will also find your own bath robe and slippers to use during your stay and also have Egyptian cotton frette bed linen on our beds. For your room entertainment the superior rooms have large HD ready TVs with built in freeview.

We have two of the Superior Deluxe rooms available at the Meadfoot Bay and they are both very different from each other.

The first Superior Deluxe room is Wentworth. This room contains all that the superior rooms have with the added feature of being a larger room with a 32 inch HD ready TV + DVD.

The second superior deluxe room is Valderamma. This room contains all that the superior rooms have with the added feature of again being a larger room but also has its own private balcony.

Our main suite The St Andrews Suite is the finest room here at The Meadfoot Bay. If you are planning a romantic trip away this is the ideal suite for you. The room is extremely spacious with views out to the garden however its luxury bath room really impresses the most. The bath room is very large tiled from top to bottom with large mirrors surrounding. It boasts not only a large power shower (Kudos) but also a large spa jacuzzi bath as well. For your room entertainment the St Andrews Suite has a large 37 inch wall hung HD ready Toshiba TV with built in Freeview and also has a DVD player underneath.

All 19 bedrooms are furnished to a high standard, each has ensuite toilet and shower or bath, colour television, clock radio, complimentary tea/coffee tray. Some rooms have their own balcony/patio as well as ground floor single and double rooms for those who have difficulty with stairs.

A full traditional English / Continental breakfast is served in our elegant restaurant. When weather permits breakfast may be taken outside on the terrace.
